Introduction
There are many websites devoted to entertainment and nightlife of Rotterdam. As with any cosmopolitan city, you can see a movie, take in a show - opera, ballet or rock concert, see a play and sample a variety of different cuisines. There are many restaurants and cafes throughout the city and environs to enjoy - too many to list. Jeugdtheater - Theatre attached to the Jeugdtheater drama school, where the students practice their skills
Feijenoord Stadium - Principally a football stadium also holds major concerts
Luxor Theatre - Old Luxor by the Hilton Hotel and New Luxor on the River Maas (over the bridge). Offering shows that run for limited periods of time
Nighttown Theatre - Small capacity theatre (1000pax) located in centre of Rotterdam
Prinses Theatre - Offering weekend dinner shows
New Schouwburg theatre - (c.1988) and old theatre in same spot
Theatre Zuidplein - Showing cultural performances and movies every Wednesday night
Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra - This link takes you to the Orchestra home website but they perform at de Doelen.
I.D.E.A. (English) Amateur Theatre Group - English language group based in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, which is about 20 minutes drive from Rotterdam, (near Dordrecht). Showing a wide variety of shows and revues including an annual Christmas Panto.
