The American International School of Rotterdam is an independent, non-sectarian, non-profit, co-educational day school that offers a quality educational program from pre-kindergarten (age 3) through grade 12 for students of all nationalities with a desire to learn in English. The curriculum is that of US College preparatory private schools and in addition, the high school offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma instruction. The language of instruction is English and an intensive English as a Second Language program (ESOL) is also offered. French (3-12), Spanish (6-12) and Dutch (PK-12) are taught as foreign languages. Computer, art, drama, music, physical education, library classes and swimming are taught by specialists.

The Blijberg School is a public Dutch school with an International Teaching department operating an International School. It offers a primary level education in English, based on the International Teaching Curriculum and principles of Jena plan. The students are encouraged to integrate into the Dutch community by studying Dutch language and culture. Reading groups are held with other children and parents in the native language of the child. English lessons are also available for parents.

The Japanese International School shares it's campus with American School. It provides Japanese primary and three year high school education (ages 6-15) and is taught in the Japanese language. The school comprises 55 students, all of whom are Japanese.

Wolfert Scholengroep
The Wolfert School Group is in four departments (international departments below) on different campuses around the city. The departments are divided into areas of education based on the Dutch school system and is one of the only truly bi-lingual schools in Rotterdam. It offers integration and learning in English for International Students taught alongside native Dutch speaking students. English speaking students are able to graduate with an International Diploma in English along with the Dutch high school diplomas. There are 50 different nationalities represented in this school system. The Wolfert group offers secondary school education only.

Wolfert RISS (Rotterdam International Secondary School)

Situated in it's own building, the RISS offers a totally international secondary education. International students graduate with an International General Certificate of Secondary Education, which is equivalent to the IB. Around 30 nationalities are represented at this school.
